Since its inception, Transitions' Educational Scholarships Program has helped over 100 students with disabilities receive the education they deserve. These scholarships cover costs such as tuition, classroom materials, and transportation to and from school. The students we serve have demonstrated strong initiative in pursuing their own personal development, and must meet specific performance requirements to continue receiving their scholarships.
The Educational Scholarship Program also provides assistance to core disabled leaders in the Transitions team, helping them advance to succeeding levels of higher education. Several of Transitions' leaders are currently studying at local universities, working to become greater leaders, both at Transitions, and in their Guatemalan communities as a whole.
